Pre-Tied Hair Rigs

I could tie my own hair rigs but it can be a tedious and complicated process. Instead, I just buy pre-made hair rigs and these are ones I’m currently using. They are simple to use and are extremely sharp. These barbless hooks catch in the bottom or corner of the carp’s lips every time. These are a great tool to start with.

Kokanee Killer Corn Dye

I love using this stuff for my pack bait. I simply mix a can of sweet corn together with a few dabs of this curing dye. 30 minutes later, the corn is cured, flavored, and given a great reddish-purple color. Mix them with any number of dry ingredients but I like adding it to quick oats and grits. It will also make the corn tougher so you can add a kernel to your hair rig hook and it won’t fall on. This stuff is awesome.

If you are a bank angler, ice fisherman, or even fishing from a boat, this castable fish finder is a great tool to locate fish, identify structure and vegetation, and determine water depth and bottom contour. It features a floating round transducer you can cast out with a sturdy rod. As you reel the transducer back, it maps beneath it with sonar and relays the imagery back to your smartphone screen.
